New pens for summer: Sarasa Clip gels – 20 colours and 4 nib sizes
“The pen I must find before sitting down with my journal.” Alex
Not only are we revealing an unprecedented number of gorgeous new colours for the Sarasa Clip gel range, but for the first time in the UK, we’ll have double the number of nib sizes, from the perennially popular 0.7 mm and 0.5 mm to a featherlight 0.4 mm and even 0.3 mm! For any artist who loves finessing fine detail (or making exceptionally small annotations!) these new, superfine Sarasa nib sizes are in a class of their own.
“I’ve been super excited for the upcoming release of the new Sarasa Clip gels,” says Andrew, our ace calligrapher. “Sarasa pens are perfect for doodling, journalling, and of course faux calligraphy and lettering.”
“These versatile new pens are all such vibrant shades, but my favourite has got to be the orange in 0.7 nib size.”
Since these slimmer nibs and new colours will be sold individually in independent retailers, you’ll be able to custom-curate your own Sarasa collection. But a Sarasa Clip 10-pack of assorted colours (0.7 mm nib) is on its way too and will be available in selected Tesco stores from May.
“The black Sarasa Clip has been a pencil case staple for me for years,” enthuses our ambassador, Peach. “It’s so thrilling to see such a range of brand-new colours that pair so excellently with Mildliners. Together with CLiCKART felt tips, all three make for the ultimate Zebra combination!”
New pens for summer: introducing the bLen – a next-generation ballpoint pen
“Zebra’s bLen pens are pure quality – they write like a dream!” Lois
Hot from Japan, our award-winning, vibration-free bLen emulsion-ink ballpoints look and feel completely different to other ballpoints. What does anti-vibration mean? Because bLen pens have no moving parts inside, they’re literally rattle free, which makes them incredibly smooth. There’s even a tiny brass weight in the tip to keep the nib effortlessly gliding across the page. Don’t you just love technology?!
“I find myself holding a Zebra bLen pen totally differently to my other pens,” our ambassador Lois reveals. “I wasn’t sure what to expect with the anti-vibration technology, but it’s actually really noticeable. It feels like the pen glides across the paper – and it still doesn’t have gaps in its ink flow. It’s simply so smooth!”
“The bLen pens are an absolute dream to use,” agrees Peach. “And I believe they’ll be a hit with students. They deliver a fast, smooth writing experience in multiple cute pastel barrel shades.”
And those shades include smoky blue, soft pink, lilac, mint green, white, light grey and black barrels; all available in black ink in 0.7 and 0.5 mm nib sizes. There’s also a chic blue ink, white-barrelled edition.
New pens for summer: hot off the press – our Fude brush pen
“The new Fude brush pens have been on my radar for ages. I’m so in love with them!” Andrew
Both Alex and Andrew fell for the Fude. “Fude pens are so beautiful to write with,” says Alex. “I love using them for hand lettering headers in my Bullet Journal. Plus, the rich black colour is actually a true black too, unlike some pens!”
“I just love the versatility of the medium and fine nib sizes” adds Andrew, our calligraphy guru. And, as he demonstrates, you can create beautiful flowing strokes and expressive designs by varying the degree of pressure you put through the nib. “I’ll use the bigger nib size for larger lettering arts and then the smaller nib size for more intricate lettering like my place card calligraphy.”
New pens for summer: 17 intense new colours of CLiCKART retractable felt tips!
“If you love working with strong, vibrant colours, CLiCKART is a great all-rounder.” Claire
And finally! If you’re looking for new pens for summer, we’re launching a record number of new shades of CLiCKART pens over the next few months, with 17 dazzlingly desirable colours joining the original dozen. These will be sold individually in independent retailers, so you’ll be able to pick ‘n’ mix your own bespoke colour combinations.
The very first retractable felt tip pens to market, CLiCKART has achieved cult status in creative circles. Endlessly versatile and effortlessly easy to use, these are no run-of-the-mill felt tip. For starters, their uniquely formulated, moisture-retaining ink means that they won’t dry out for up to a year – so long as you click them away!* And if your pens don’t dry out, neither will your inspiration.
Our ambassadors are already superfans. “CLiCKART is so fun to use and perfect for my anti-scroll journal,” says Alex. “I use them to keep notes of memories and observations throughout my day. And you can even use them as a watercolour!”
